I am so proud that people think we are alike, I couldnt choose someone better to be like!!! I hope you had a wonderful birthday, I miss and love you so much! See you in two days!!!!

Andie "Lou" Brooke Young

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!
Wow. 17!!! This is the first time that I feel like I am the same age as my lovely little sister, I love it! There is not another person in the world that I would choose to have grown up with. I never knew one girl could be so amazing, she has it all! Athletic, (state in tennis??! throws a ball better than any boy i know, ten mile running race???!!!) beautiful (she is so humble about it, but every guy in the school is in love with her!!) kind, smart, hard working, spiritual, fun... this list could go on forever... Even though i am older, she is such a good example to me. She really puts the standard high, paving the way for me in many cases. I look up to her so much. I didn't know it was possible to miss someone so much. I miss our late night conversations, our run-ins with clothes, her reading texts to me and asking me advice, sunny smile, finding photo shoots of funny pictures on my camera and phone, massive motivation, the music blasting down the hall as she scrubs every minute detail of her room and bathroom, doing her hair, getting her opinion, and turning off her bedside lamp as she sleeps with book in hand after her long scripture study. I miss my best friend so much! i am SO excited to see her in one week from today!!! I hope she had the best 17th birthday ever! I love you Andie Lou!!

If you didnt notice, i have pages and pages of contorted Andie faces... Sorry lou, I had to put them up, they are the majority of what I have!!!!

Naples & Pompeii (Thursday)

We left very early again on Thursday and after lots of struggles with trains, wrong trains, long bus rides, old taxi that was about to fall apart, bartering, and wrong stops, we finally made it to Pompeii! Then we got lost again while we were in the city, but this time it was for our benefit! We somehow got into an area of Pompeii that has been closed for a considerable amount of time. It was beautifully overgrown, it was extremely neat to walk through, but after being drenched in sweat, and minds and bodies just about to collapse, we finally found the exit, having to climb through fences to get out!! We took the train to Naples and spent a few more hours there before heading back to Rome.

Another one of the countless funny moments we have had..

Sorry, no matter what i do this picture will not turn!!
The train ride back..

Florence (Wednesday)

We woke up at 4:30 in the morning and spent the day in Florence!!

Pictures are not allowed of the real David, so I took a pic of a fake one that was across town.. It was so incredibly huge!! We just sat and started at it forever.

On the top of the Duomo
Fake designer brand purses are sold everywhere!! Just watch out, they might run away just before you can buy one..

Cute Bead shop I loved

Rome (Monday, Tuesday)

Gellato. One of Italy's finest creation that was eaten just about every day! yes, if you were wondering, the delectable flavors extend around the corner in the left of the picture and continue for another fifteen flavors :)
Eating Pizza :)

St. Peters... It was gigantic! This is where the Apostle Peter is buried, and is where the current Pope resides!
Inside the Vatican Museum...

The Laocoon!!! It was so incredible to see so many of the things that I have been studying for years in so many different classes! I also got to see Michaelangelo's ceiling in the Sistine Chapel, but no photos were allowed :(

Bridge of Angels
Driving in Italy: scariest thing ever! Cars creating lanes that do not exist, buses believing they are cars and merging into car-sized spaces, and hundreds of motorcycles zooming everywhere, following absolutely no rules.

Rome! (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)

I have been in Rome staying at the mission president's home for the past week and a half, it is amazing to have somewhere a little like home in rome :)

Friday we blazed through the heat seeing the Colosseum, Paladien, Forum, and eating gellato (this was done every day)..
Sharley and I fighting in front of the Colosseum...

Inside the Colosseum. It is so incredibly ginormous!!!!
We went to the beach on Saturday. hah, we were the only ones around laying on towels, we didn't spend the 6 euros for lounge chairs...

Warning: the next picture is not for innocent eyes....

Haha i couldn't help but take this picture. This is the typical Italian on the beach: shaved, speedo, and posing...
After visiting the Trevy fountain and eating gellato with President and Sister Acerson, we went to see the Colosseum at night.

When we pulled up I didn't even see the church at first. It is just one of the buisiness doors, the only thing that sets it apart is the "church of Jesus Christ of latter day saints sign".

Sunday night we went to the most beautiful town on the edge of an old volcano, which now has a lake in it/vineyards inside.
Lady making lace

Then I got a haircut from a brand new convert/armanian bodybuilding champion/french military/hairstylist in their house (notice the audience in the background)

The rest of the trip is to be continued!!!!
